YouGov Poll: Most UK Citizens Think Brexit Was A Mistake
According to a YouGov poll, more than half of UK citizens think the country’s choice to leave the EU was a mistake.
56% of respondents felt it was a mistake for Britain to leave the EU, while 31% said they supported Brexit.
At the same time, 62% of respondents believe that Brexit has been more of a disaster for the UK so far than a success, and 72% of people think that the government has not handled Britain’s exit from the EU successfully.
The poll with 2009 participants was taken between May 17 and 18.
The UK departed the European Union on January 31, 2020. After the transition period concluded on January 1, 2021, the parties’ trade and cooperation agreement went into effect, although in a provisional form.
