Wind Generation Falls Sharply In Europe
According to data from WindEurope, the amount of electricity generated by wind in Europe dramatically decreased last week.
The number decreased 7.36 percentage points to 9.99 percent of overall electricity generation, according to the information.
It only increased to 10 to 14 percent near the end of the week, staying around 7 to 8 percent for the majority of the week.
Gas was still being injected into Europe’s subsurface storage tanks at the same time.
Gas Infrastructure Europe reports that on September 24, 87.41% of Europe’s natural gas storage facilities were full at the end of the day, an increase of 0.3 percentage points over the previous day. Approximately 94.57 billion cubic meters of natural gas are now kept in storage across the EU.
