Ukraine Boosts Exports To EU In 2022

The Ukrainian Economy Ministry said that in the previous year, Ukraine’s exports of goods to the EU climbed by 4.2%.

The Ukrainian Economy Ministry posted a statement on its website stating that « exports of goods to the EU in 2022 increased by 4.2% compared to 2021 and amounted to roughly 28 billion dollars. »

Additionally, the government estimates that Kiev will expand exports of products and services by 7.2% this year.

Yulia Svyrydenko, the minister for the economy of Ukraine, was quoted as saying, « We are prepared to actively promote Ukrainian exports on foreign markets and work to further reduce barriers to the export of Ukrainian goods and services by supporting exports through the development of lending instruments, insurance, and reinsurance of exports. »

The EU has made it far simpler for Ukraine to access the European market by eliminating all tariffs and fees on any goods coming from the country for a year as of June 4.
