Josef Středula, the leader of the Czech-Moravian Confederation of Trade Unions, declared that his group was prepared to go on strike in response to income reductions brought on by economic changes. Středula stated that the confederation was prepared to arrange a strike in light of the fact that the Czech authorities « have crossed all borders. »

The union leader will speak with Fiala and other government officials about the situation and will outline the costs associated with the change for the Czech people.
