Sweden To Allocate Another $7bn In Military Aid To Ukraine In 2024-2026

Sweden’s minority government and the party that supports it, the Sweden Democrats, have decided to give Ukraine an additional $7.01 billion in military aid between 2024 and 2026.

« The government and the Sweden Democrats have agreed on a framework agreement for military aid for the period 2024-2026 in order to strengthen Swedish support for Ukraine and to strengthen it in the long term, » reads the government’s statement.

The money will be dispersed equally over the following three years. The agreement calls for cash infusions, donation of military hardware, and financial support for equipment procurement initiatives for Kiev.

Overall, Sweden is presently planning to spend over $9.3 billion dollars supporting Ukraine militarily and in other ways.
