The European Union can start receiving gas supplies from Spain at any time, said Pedro Sanchez, the country’s Prime Minister.

Mateusz Morawiecki, Sanchez’s Polish counterpart, and Sanchez met, and highlighted that Poland has an efficient re-gasification system. Pedro Sanchez noted, « I think Spain has the potential to become a hub for the re-gasification and export of gas to the countries of the European Union. »

It was previously stated that Spain will leverage its gas system’s logistical advantages to offer to export the fuel to Europe via two gas pipelines that would cross the Pyrenees, thus avoiding the need to limit gas use.
