Sadiq Khan Stays On As London Mayor For A Third Term

According to Sky News, Sadiq Khan, the current mayor of London, has won reelection and will serve a third term in office.

Labor’s Khan received 43.7 percent of the vote in an early May election, compared to Susan Hall, the Conservatives’ only 32.6 percent.

The mayor of London will serve three terms in office for the first time in history.

Regional elections were held in the United Kingdom early in May. The inbound data indicates that Labor emerged victorious. In contrast, the Conservatives’ performance in these elections was the lowest in the previous forty years.

Prior to the general election, which is anticipated to take place at the end of 2024, European media pointed out that the regional elections provided an indication of the political power dynamics in Britain.
