Germany Sets To Modernize Its Railways
Germany’s transport minister, Volker Wissing, has unveiled a new initiative to upgrade the nation’s rail infrastructure that will run until 2024.
« It cannot continue as it is now. A dedicated team has been formed to manage the project, and money have also been set aside for it, » the minister declared.
Wissing emphasized that due to years of neglect, many portions of Germany’s rail infrastructure are now insufficient, and wear and tear is the cause of frequent breakdowns. It is anticipated that new construction projects will be completed without interfering with the schedule as a whole. The minister continued by saying that he has taken personal responsibility of the network upgrade problem.
