EU, Japan To Explore Possibilities For Joint Projects In Central Asia

Japan and the European Union plan to expand cooperation on ongoing projects in the Indo-Pacific region, the Western Balkans and Africa. In addition, the two sides want to explore opportunities for joint projects in Central Asia, according to a joint Japan-EU summit statement.

It is specified that the cooperation will be conducted in various areas: transport, energy, digital sphere, supply chains, microfinance, green energy. In addition, the countries are working on identifying infrastructure projects.

According to the report, the European Investment Bank and the Japan Bank for International Cooperation will join the work.
