EC President Proposes Platform For Cooperation With Armenia And Azerbaijan
European Council President Charles Michel and leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan discussed an EU initiative to create an economic platform to develop economic cooperation and build confidence between the sides, an EU statement said.
Earlier, a trilateral meeting between the head of the European Council, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was held in Brussels.
« The leaders discussed existing and prospective trade and economic ties between the EU and the two countries. They also considered the EU’s intention to launch an economic consultation platform to build trust, promote peaceful coexistence and build economic cooperation in the region, » Michel said in a written statement.
