Denmark Lets Nord Stream 2 In
The Danish Energy Agency (DEA) permitted operation of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline on the continental shelf of Denmark, the watchdog said.
The application for a permit to operate Nord Stream 2 AG was submitted on November 18, 2019, recalls DEA.
In its permission, DEA put forward several conditions to provide safety at the pipeline system. The project will be commissioned if at least one of the pipes is certified and tested.
The managing company noted that the permit defines a number of conditions that must be met before the pipeline is launched and during the entire period of its operation.
Earlier, the construction of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline by European contractors was halted due to US sanctions.
