Foreign Secretary Liz Truss, a finalist for the position of British Prime Minister, pledges to take action against the Chinese business TikTok.

« We must unquestionably take legal action against such businesses. Exports of technology to autocratic governments must be restricted. And I’m speaking with the G7 nations about that, » she said when asked whether she would take action against TikTok.

In a fifth round of voting last week, Conservative Party MPs in the UK chose their leader, who will also serve as Prime Minister. Two candidates, former finance minister Rishi Sunak and foreign secretary Liz Truss, made it to the election’s final round.

Nine of the 11 MPs who had indicated their intention to seek the position of Conservative Party leader and Prime Minister left the race later.
